I expect that everyone is practicing mindfulness — at least for a few minutes each day. Make a mental note (or an actual note) of your experience. Reflect back on your day and note times that you were mindful even if you did not notice it at the time. Perhaps there was a time you were paying attention and fully immersed in your activity. Maybe you blocked out other thoughts or intrusions while focused on only one thing.
Think about being mindful while with others. Has it made you more sensitive toward others — more empathetic? What were you paying attention to while with the other person. Were you focused more on yourself or more on the other person? Take the next 2 days to pay attention to your thoughts and feelings while with others. What did you observe in others?
