Think about your relationships — whether friendships, co-workers, or intimate relationships. What are your boundaries in each relationship? How transparent are you?

I can think of different companies that I have worked for. There was one that made many decisions behind closed doors, and many of the decisions did not make sense. There was no transparency and the employees did not trust the management.

Another company was open and transparent about the budget, about state mandates, and about employee expectations. This seemed to foster a sense of trust and loyalty.
