Have you ever been able to just “stop it?” Sometimes it works. You tell yourself, “I don’t do that anymore,” or “That’s not me,” and you just stop. Other times, the urge is so strong and despite the voice that tells you to stop, you cannot help yourself.
Can you describe a situation where you were able to resist an urge? How did you do it? Was it opposite action? Did you think of consequences or goals? Were you able to identify an unmet need and find another way to meet the need?
